Cyber5050 is an Australian Government funded project that is part of the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations' Building Women's Careers Program. Cyber5050 is delivered in partnership by CyberCX, Future Women, the Australian Women in Security Network, Canberra Institute of Technology and the Australian Services Union. Through the delivery of multiple initiatives, Cyber5050 addresses the structural and cultural barriers to women's participation in the cyber security industry.

The purpose of this application form is to enable Cyber5050 partners to understand applicant's interest in participating in the program. The data obtained from this application will allow Cyber5050 partners to provide and evaluate impactful initiatives that effectively address the structural and cultural barriers that are hindering women's participation in the cyber security industry.

To be eligible to participate in the Cyber Accelerator, you must:

  • Be 18 years or older;
  • Be an Australian Citizen and reside in Australia; and
  • Identify as female or gender diverse.

Participants will spend approximately 50 hours across 12 months completing the Cyber Accelerator for Women. The Cyber Accelerator is self-paced and participants can engage with the training at a time convenient for them. Participants will also receive a 12-month Australian Women in Security Network membership.

About Cyber5050

Cyber5050 is a collaborative partnership between FW, CyberCX, the Australian Women in Security Network, the Australian Services Union, and the Canberra Institute of Technology.

Funded by the Australian Federal Government’s Building Women’s Careers Grant, Cyber5050 will deliver several initiatives over two years to drive cultural and structural change in the cybersecurity industry.
