Dear ,

I'm pretty sure my partner is a bit annoyed with me.

For the last few days, I've answered every question he's asked with the phrase 'huh?'.

Charming.

The truth is, while he's asking me what I want for dinner, my nose is buried deep in the pages of The Ninth Life of a Diamond Miner - the just-released memoir from Grace Tame.

And while I am assured that my concentration face is cute, the huffing noise I tend to make when I get distracted is decidedly not.

I can't help it though - I am completely hooked on this book.

It's beautifully written, wickedly funny and above all - unflinchingly honest.

I could say so much about it, but honestly - what use are my words, when Grace puts it best herself?

'As far as I see it, we are all to each other a passing ship in the night, a cross-section of humanity, moving through time and space, leaving impressions and sharing lessons.

Here are some of mine. Raw. Real. Uncut.'

And my goodness, does Grace leave an impression. Ninth Life is her story, in her words, on her terms. Here she returns, again and again, to the things that have driven and saved her: love, connection and radical, unwavering honesty.

Join us at 12pm AEST this Friday, as Grace sits down with FW Director Helen McCabe to discuss her book release, and her vision of a better future for everyone. Register here to make sure you don't miss out.

I'll be there, hanging on every word, and I cannot wait.

See you then,
Bojana Kos
